SmartBike is a bike sharing programme collaborated with the West Kowloon District Cultural District Authority to complement the provision of cycle tracks in the District Park for recreational and leisure uses, and to encourage visitors to use bicycles as a sustainable commuting mode within the District in future. Upon launching on April 14, 2014, SmartBike not only enables visitors to enjoy stunning views of Victoria Harbour along cycling path, but it also allows easy access to the cultural buildings, cafes, restaurants and shops lining the harbourfront, which are due to open soon.

BiciLine started running Food Kiosk on August 1, 2015 in the District Park, serving refreshment like cold drinks, coffee, hotdogs, shao mei, ice cream and snacks.

How It Works

Hire a Bike

  1. Use Octopus or cash to obtain a smart card at the customer service kiosk of the bike station
  2. Hold the card against the card reader on any bike docks with an available bike
  3. Once seeing a green light and hearing the short “beep” for two consecutive times, retrieve the card and hold onto the handlebar with one hand and the seat with the other hand, then pull the bike firmly towards oneself to take the bike out within 20 seconds
  4. Adjust the seat and put your belongings into the front rack
  5. Remember to wear a helmet for safety. Enjoy the ride!

Return a Bike

  1. Return the bike to any of the bike docks
  2. Firmly push the front wheel of the bike into an empty dock
  3. Wait to see a green light and hear a "kacha" to confirm that it is properly locked.
  4. Please keep the smart card for future access. One can pay late return charge or add card value using Octopus or cash at the customer service kiosk located at the bike station

Remark

  1. Please refer the details of the rental terms and conditions shown at the customer service kiosk located at the bike station
  2. 2. Users must be of height 110 cm or above. There are kid bikes for users under 130 cm high and some of them with training wheels, which are suitable for kids aged between 3 to 5 and not taller than 90 cm. Kids always ride with adult supervision
